Open call for participants: “Dive into Youth Participation” Training Course

New Power in Youth Strategic Partnership invites participants to the fourth edition of the “Dive into Youth Participation” Training Course — supporting youth leaders and youth workers in strengthening meaningful youth engagement and exploring Erasmus+ opportunities.

Objectives
The “Dive into Youth Participation” training course brings together 25 youth leaders and youth workers from across Europe to deepen their understanding of quality youth participation and its role in democratic life. Participants will explore how to embed participation in organisational practices and projects, while discovering the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ Youth, especially Key Action 154 – Youth Participation Activities. The course focuses on equipping participants with tools, knowledge and inspiration to foster civic engagement and active involvement of young people.

Themes
Youth participation and democracy: strengthening active citizenship and engagement among young people
Erasmus+ opportunities: understanding and applying KA154 for youth participation projects
Quality participation: exploring approaches, standards and impact in different contexts
Tools and methods: practical resources to support youth-led initiatives
Networking and partnerships: building international cooperation and sharing practices

Participant profile
Interested applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Representatives of youth organisations or informal groups of young people
  • Youth leaders or youth workers with experience in youth participation or civic engagement
  • Interested in developing projects within Erasmus+ KA154 (no prior experience required)
  • Motivated to improve youth participation practices at local, national or international level
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
  • At least 18 years old

Programme highlights
The programme will include:

  • Thematic sessions on youth participation and European values supporting democracy
  • Workshops exploring Erasmus+ KA154 and project development opportunities
  • Exchanges of good practices and peer learning
  • Tools and methods for strengthening youth participation
  • Opportunities to build partnerships and future collaborations

A mandatory online meeting will take place before the residential training to allow participants to connect and prepare.

Background and organisers
The training course is part of the New Power in Youth Strategic Partnership (NPiY SNAC), implemented by several Erasmus+ National Agencies and SALTO Resource Centres. This fourth edition is hosted by the SALTO South East Europe Resource Centre, in cooperation with Haridus- ja Noorteamet (Estonia), JUGEND für Europa (Germany), and the local contact point Beyond Barriers Association (Albania).

Application process
Submit the application form with information about your background, motivation, organisational context and expectations. Participants will be selected based on their potential to apply the learning outcomes within their organisation or group.
